Compliance with NEPA
NRES 410/610 (replacing NRES 485/685, GEOG 491/691, RECO 485/685) “Compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act” 3 credit course.
This course provides the essentials of NEPA, how to work on an interdisciplinary team to prepare NEPA documentation (Environmental Assessments [EAs] and Environmental Impact Statements [EISs]) and how to review these documents.

National Geothermal Academy
GEOL 457/657/701, ENGR 457/657 “National Geothermal Academy, Module on Public Policy, Permitting & Environmental Issues” one of eight modules in the 6/7/8 credit course.
The National Geothermal Academy is an intensive summer course covering all aspects of geothermal energy development and utilization. The course is offered through the University of Nevada, Reno to outstanding undergraduates, graduate students, and professionals. The NGA has 105 alumni from 24 countries.
